Hotel Receivership Specialist


As fourth generation hotelier with over thirty years of experience in the hospitality industry, Steve Post focuses exclusively hospitality receiverships, a notoriously complex real estate sector particularly in times of distress. He utilizes over thirty years of experience in the hospitality industry to manage a wide variety of hotels as a court-appointed receiver. His astute interest in and holistic understanding of all aspects of the hotel experience is one of the critical factors driving his success. Mr. Post is also President of Amber Hotel Company, the largest and most successful hotel brokerage company on the West Coast with over $500 million in real estate transactions completed. Prior to founding of Amber, Mr. Post has held a diverse array of positions in the hospitality industry. He has owned, operated and managed hotels. Mr. Post has worked as a sales director for hotels, a food and beverage director, and a consultant for general hotel operations. Mr. Post has been a noted guest lecturer at industry events and a technical business mentor to students. He is actively involved in his community in a number of volunteer capacities. He is an active sponsor of annual hospitality events, including a series of golf tournaments held across the nation. Mr. Post attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he studied Business and Economics. He holds real estate broker licenses in both California and Arizona.





ROBERT GRISWOLD

CPM, CRE, ARM, CCIM, PCAM, GRI, Receiver


Mr. Griswold has served as a court-appointed receiver and bankruptcy custodian on over 160 matters spanning two decades. He is also a property manager, consultant and expert witness for real estate matters involving all property types. He has consulted on over 1,000 litigation matters, deposed over 200 times, and provided sworn testimony in trial or arbitration on over 50 occasions in both state and federal litigation matters throughout the United States. Mr. Griswold is also an accomplished writer of several books and frequently contributes to real estate trade publications. Mr. Griswold earned his BS, MBA and MSBA from the University of Southern California. He is a licensed real estate broker in California and Arizona. Mr. Griswold also holds the top professional designations in the real estate industry, including Counselor of Real Estate (CRE®), Certified Property Manager (CPM®), Accredited Residential Manager (ARM®), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM®), Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) and Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI®). He is an active member of the California Receivers Forum, a non-profit organization formed to serve the receivership community and the civil courts.





SALVATORE PROVENZA

Receiver


Mr. Provenza has extensive real estate investment, development and management experience. As Managing Director of CWP Advisors he provides advisory services to lenders, special servicers, owners, investors and developers. Prior to CWP Advisors, Mr. Provenza was part of the senior management team of a national full-service real estate development company. During his tenure, he worked on both coasts and was responsible for critical operational aspects including land acquisitions, due diligence, approval processing, management, and project-specific financing. He has hands-on experience managing a wide-range of developments. In addition, Mr. Provenza was involved in corporate mergers and acquisitions for both private and public companies valued at over $4 billion. Prior to his development career, he worked for two architecture and town planning firms focused on retail, hospitality, office and mixed-use projects. Mr. Provenza holds a MBA from the University of Southern California and a BA in Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a licensed California general contractor and real estate broker. Mr. Provenza is a board member for Building Block Foundation Fund and also advises Chapman University by serving on its Real Estate, Law and Environmental Studies board of advisers. He is an active member of the California Receivers Forum and several other professional organizations.
